The opportunity Thiess is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our workshop team and ensure mobile plant reliability at our Lake Vermont Project . This is a fixed-term opportunity to cover long leave, offering you the chance to step into a leadership role with one of the world’s leading mining services providers. Key Responsibilities Supervise and empower a skilled maintenance crew Ensure all mobile plant is maintained to OEM and Thiess standards Drive safety, compliance, and continuous improvement Plan and execute maintenance strategies for optimal performance Foster strong relationships across internal teams and external suppliers About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: Mechanical Trade Certificate or Engineering qualification Proven experience in mobile plant maintenance within mining Strong leadership and communication skills Knowledge of Coal Mining Safety and Health Act Relevant Coal Mining Industry competencies 7/7 roster, Site-based role Opportunity to work on a high-performing team at a leading coal project Tool of trade vehicle included Full camp accommodation or local living allowance provided Thiess’ commitment to ongoing training & development Range of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products About us Thiess works with clients in Australia, Asia and the Americas in the dynamic field of open-cut and underground mining.
