Front of house wine and service professional An opportunity for a personable customer focussed hospitality professional, with a passion for service and great wine to join our front of house team at Milton About us Milton Wine has been your neighbourhood wine bar since 2014. We serve a constantly changing by-the-glass list, or customers can open any bottle straight off the shelf. >Our menu is focused around our wood fired oven with classic snacks and plates that work with the seasons, as well as pizza and mains to be shared with great company alongside your favourite wine. Part of the Diggin’ In The Cellars group, we value good wine, good food and good people. We believe knowledge is best shared and foster a culture where a desire to learn from our peers, our producers and beyond is inherent throughout. About the role As a front of house team member you are responsible to deliver exceptional service which is efficient, hospitable and true to our ethos, contributing to the creation of a community of patrons through confident service and genuine knowledge of our food and wine. You will proactively contribute to the smooth running of the venue through the completion of pre service and end of service tasks, stock control, and the maintenance of a welcoming and well presented venue. You will participate in regular on-the-job training to develop your service skills and wine knowledge while always striving for continuous improvement across all aspects of your role and venue operations. Staff discounts across all venues in the group including our online wine store Opportunity to enrol in WSET training Who we are looking for Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service position, within a venue of a similar style You have a strong passion for service and wine, a good understanding of the wine industry, local and internationally, WSET education would be preferred but not a deal breaker. An ability to multi-task and cope in a fast paced environment. An ability to build relationships with our team and customers and contribute to a positive workplace culture. A genuine desire to learn and expand your knowledge is a must. Please note this is a casual role and availabilty on weekends is essential.
