We are looking for passionate Associate Nurse Managers to provide clear leadership and support to the Nurse Unit Manager in the Operating Theatre environment. The Team North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) is a 160‑bed facility and the principal referral centre for the North West Tasmanian community, offering general medicine, surgical (orthopaedic), intensive care, cancer services, paediatric services, outpatient clinics and specialist services. The hospital has close ties with the University of Tasmania through the Rural Clinical School and with TAFE Tasmania, providing opportunities for comprehensive learning and development. The NWRH Theatre is a vibrant, supportive team consisting of four operating theatres providing Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, ENT, Endoscopy and Dental services. Standard working hours are shifts between 07:00 and 22:30 seven days a week, with flexible working arrangements and overnight on‑call service. The theatres have a dedicated leadership and education team to support all learning and development needs. The Role Provide clear leadership and support to the Nurse Unit Manager. Permanent and temporary ANUM hours will be responsible for the Scrub Scout portfolio; further temporary hours will cover the Endoscopy portfolio. Deliver the greatest quality of care and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Contribute to the health outcomes of patients through excellence in practice, fostering a learning culture, excellent communication skills and effective multidisciplinary teamwork. Scrub scout and endoscopy experience is essential. Details of appointment Permanent, part‑time, fully rotational shift worker – 22.8 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date. Multiple fixed‑term, part‑time, day worker positions – up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date until 25 September 2026. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‑time, part‑time, and casual vacancies. Salary $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (pro‑rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance – up to 10 % based on qualification type.
