About The Business Unit Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC) is a maximum-security remand facility based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Prisoners on remand are alleged offenders who were not bailed when charged with a crime and are awaiting the outcome of their court case. The MRC is a 954-bed maximum-security facility for unsentenced male offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice, and Community Safety. About The Role In the role of a Justice Officer Offender Services Administration, some of your duties will include: Under minimal direction and supervision, providing a range of high quality, confidential, and efficient administrative services and support to the Offender Services Unit. Maintaining data integrity of attendance records, databases, and spreadsheets. Generating referral lists daily for programs and service. About You As our ideal candidate, you will possess: Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in or understanding of working within a correctional environment. Seeking resolution of problems through policy or process guidelines while understanding concepts enabling improvements in critical thinking and problem solving.
