Music Specialist (Keyboards & Vocals) – Good Samaritan Catholic College, BLI BLI Good Samaritan Catholic College, part of Brisbane Catholic Education, is recruiting a part‑time music specialist to support music teaching and student development. About the School Located in Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast, the college opened in 2019 and now accommodates around 1,500 students from Prep to Year 12. Job Details Location: Good Samaritan Catholic College – Bli Bli Start date: 21/01/2026 – 04/12/2026 Work hours: 6–12 hours per week Salary: $52.64 /hr (plus super) – School Salary Scale Employment type: Part‑time, fixed‑term/variation Closing date: 21/12/2025 Contact: 07 5374 8800 Responsibilities Design and deliver effective learning programs to improve students’ capabilities in chosen instruments. Assess and monitor student progress, identifying learning gaps and providing scaffolding for additional support, including for students with learning disabilities. Adapt teaching methods, materials and assessments to cater for diverse learning styles and abilities, offering alternative approaches for small groups and individuals. Manage lesson attendance records and absenteeism, engaging with stakeholders to improve outcomes. Prepare content, student plans and support for concerts, liturgies, festivals, eisteddfods, music evenings and AMEB/Trinity College examinations. Maintain open communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on student progress and performance. Qualifications Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments. Ability to read and write music notation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in monitoring student progress and developing engaging lesson plans. Patience and adaptability for working with students of varying skill levels and learning styles. Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) qualification and relevant experience are desirable. It is not required to be Catholic for this role. Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
