Help us end avoidable blindness Part time 4 days per week, permanent role, based NSW (Flexible work from home arrangements available) Closing Date: Monday the 29th of December 2025 ABOUT THE FRED HOLLOWS FOUNDATION The Foundation is an international development organisation working to prevent blindness and restore sight. We continue to carry on the legacy of Professor Fred Hollows, who believed every person had the right to quality eye care, no matter where they live. The Foundation has grown to work in more than 25 countries throughout Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific, as well as Australia. The Foundation has restored sight to more than 3 million people worldwide. We have an ambitious five-year strategic plan that aims to take us even closer to realising our vision of a world in which no person is needlessly blind or vision impaired and Indigenous Australians exercise their right to sight and good health. THE OPPORTUNITY The Global Community and Donor Events Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the planning and delivery of fundraising, stewardship and community engagement events that strengthen donor relationships and advance the Foundation’s mission to end avoidable blindness and vision loss worldwide. Working closely with the Global Community and Donor Events Manager, this role helps ensure every event and supporter touchpoint is organised with care, delivered with excellence, and contributes to a positive, memorable experience for donors and community fundraisers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate the planning and delivery of community and donor events, including logistics, scheduling, venue management, supplier coordination and on-the-day support. Support donor engagement activities across fundraising teams, including Major Donors, Individual Giving and Community Fundraising, as well as assisting with Vision Trip coordination, and The Foundation’s annual flagship event, Fred’s Big Run. Manage event administration and systems, including registrations, guest lists, acknowledgements, RSVP follow-up and maintaining accurate donor and event data in the CRM. Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, partners and marketing to deliver cohesive, high-quality events and partnership activations that align with brand and mission. Assist with event budgets and planning, including expense tracking, insurance requirements, risk assessments, reconciliations and post-event evaluations for continuous improvement. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with donors and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Strong communication skills and the ability to bring fundraising stories to life through compelling narratives, data, and impact insights. Confident in engaging, listening and influencing at all levels, including colleagues, partners, team leads and senior leaders. High attention to detail with a process-driven, outcomes-focused and proactive approach to problem-solving. Strong time management skills, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, and the ability to support, motivate and inspire those involved in fundraising activities. How we recognise your contribution Through our internal programs and employee benefits we aim to create an environment where you will feel supported and empowered. Whether your focus is on continuous learning, professional development or finding an environment which enables you to thrive while balancing family or personal commitments, we have a range of programs in place to support you.
