Program Coordinator - Follow the Dream at Department of Education, Western Australia This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency. The Role The Follow the Dream program is a voluntary out‑of‑school education program targeted at aspirational and high‑achieving Aboriginal students in Years 7 to 12 in Western Australia (WA). It aims to support Indigenous students to excel academically, complete secondary schooling and achieve other tertiary placements such as Vocational Education and Training (VET), an apprenticeship or traineeship, or employment of their choice. The College motto highlights the importance of supporting our students to reach their full potential through collaboration with stakeholders. The successful applicant will be an experienced teacher with strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with Indigenous students, families and staff. Eligible staff receive a percentage of this payment on commencement, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to receive the second payment. Want to know more? Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership that builds capacity, deals effectively with change and generates innovative solutions related to achieving educational outcomes. Demonstrated highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to conduct research, prepare reports and establish effective working relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve planned outcomes.
