Your Role Reporting to the Head of Group Governance within the Governance, Legal, Risk & Compliance function you will be at the forefront of implementing and embedding the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) within our organisation, playing a crucial role in designing and maintaining compliance processes, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. As a Governance Officer within Hollard's Group Governance team, you will support the governance and regulatory function across the general insurance business through document management, policy advisory services, regulatory compliance support, regulatory engagement planning and company secretariat administration support. Key Responsibilities Support the Senior Manager and the Head of Group Governance & Deputy General Counsel with corporate governance obligations and assist with embedding governance practices across Hollard aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Play a key role in implementing the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) within the organisation. Support design, development, and maintenance of FAR frameworks, policies, processes and systems in compliance with FAR requirements as well as APRA CPS 520 Fit & Proper (F&P) requirements. Create and maintain Accountability Statements and Maps. Assist the Secretariat function with drafting papers on governance matters for board or management committees including routine updates, policy approvals, and regulatory matters under the guidance of the Head of Group Governance. Assist with preparation of governance‑related regulatory submissions and other administrative filing support. Support the Senior Manager in developing an engagement plan, calendar and agendas senior Hollard executives and regulators as required by the engagement strategy. Assist the Senior Manager and Head of Group Governance with regulatory engagement, including submissions to APRA and ASIC where required. Assist with routine compliance matters, maintenance of regulatory registers, regulatory calendar, priorities. About You Experience in governance, risk management, business, law, or related field is required. Experience with the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) or the Banking Executive Accountability Regime (BEAR) is preferred. Strong understanding of APRA prudential standards, general Insurance Code of Practice and ASIC regulatory framework. Proven ability to stay abreast of regulatory changes and translate them into internal processes. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in regulatory submissions.
