The Opportunity The purpose of this role is to conduct high level research in paediatric lung health with the broad aim to improve the outcomes of children, young people and their families with, or at risk of, chronic lung conditions. We are a multi-disciplinary team with areas of focus including clinical respiratory physiology, cohort studies and clinical trials, mechanisms of paediatric lung conditions and translation of our research to the community and into clinical practice. Team website : / The Postdoctoral Researcher will report to the Co-Heads of the Foundations of Lung Disease teams and will play a key role in advancing clinical research to improve childhood lung health. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of clinical studies, preparation of competitive funding applications, supervision of students, and publication of high-quality peer-reviewed research. This is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be considered for the right candidate. Responsibilities Design and support paediatric lung health studies, including grant and ethics applications Manage participant recruitment, data collection processes and ensure data integrity Analyse and interpret data, contribute to new research questions and engage in peer review Disseminate research findings through publications, conferences and support translation to practice and policy Build collaborations with consumers, researchers, clinicians and policy stakeholders Contribute to team operations through meetings, supervision, mentoring and skill-sharing Conveniently based at Perth Children's Hospital, this is a full-time role for 2 years, with the possibility of extension.
