Queensland Law Society(QLS) is the professional body for legal practitioners, representing more than 14,000 members state-wide. We lead the Solicitors of Queensland with our purpose of Good Law - Good Lawyers - Public Good. The Events team under the Membership division is responsible for providing event management services for all learning and professional development, and corporate events such as conferences, workshops, member events and corporate functions. Job Description Joining a friendly and passionate team in a very busy environment, the Events Administrator position reports to the Events Manager, and provides support to the Events Management team whilst working collaboratively with a variety of key relationships such as event coordinators, QLS members, event owners and presenters including our facilities and corporate teams. This exciting entry level role is an amazing opportunity for a self‑driven university graduate seeking to gain exposure to events, with a pathway to becoming an event organiser. Local and regional travel is required from time to time. In this role you will : Support event setup: prepare documents, collect feedback, manage registrations / enquiries, update sites. Maintain calendars, planners, and room bookings with event manager. Assist onsite at livestreamed events: setup, presenter support, live monitoring, registration desks, concierge, and session oversight. Proofread and edit event correspondence, marketing copy, and publications. Process invoices, purchase orders, budgets, and coordinate venues, suppliers, and speakers. Arrange transport, equipment inventory, and collateral management. Contribute to post-event evaluation reports and data summaries. Respond promptly to enquiries via inbox and phone, maintaining strong relationships with members, stakeholders, and suppliers. Ideally you will have the following : Relevant qualifications and / or some experience in event management and administration. Experience in a similar role within the legal profession or membership organisation (desirable). Valid driver's licence. Business writing skills to support creating process, guidelines and templates. Experience using EventsAir (highly desirable), MS Office 365, Customer Relationship Management systems (Microsoft Dynamics, ideal). A keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise workload in a high‑volume, fast paced environment. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable talking to a variety of people at all levels. Success in this role means efficiently managing competing priorities while delivering accurate, high‑quality work with strong communication and attention to detail. It requires initiative, adaptability, and a customer‑focused approach, paired with skills in problem solving and process improvement.
