Melrose Built is expanding our Fit Out and Refurb Division and we are looking for an Entry Level Site Foreman who is ready to take the next step in their career. If you are currently working in residential construction or as a Leading Hand and want to break into commercial, this is a rare opportunity with a structured pathway and genuine support. Why this role is different We know the jump from residential to commercial can feel daunting. At Melrose, we have tailored pathways designed specifically for emerging foremen. You will be paired with experienced Team Leader, Project Managers and Site Managers and supported through our structured training and development program. You will not be left to sink or swim. What you will be doing Taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the site and keeping work moving Coordinating subcontractors to ensure trades are where they need to be and working safely Checking workmanship and finishes to maintain high quality standards Setting up and leading daily pre-starts and actively managing short-term programs Identifying issues early and working with the Site Manager and CA to resolve them Managing site logistics including deliveries, access, waste, and sequencing Keeping accurate site records including photos, diaries, and safety documentation Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe site that reflects the Melrose standard Who this suits A residential carpenter, Leading Hand, or Junior Supervisor hungry for commercial experience Someone who enjoys fast-paced, detail-driven work A good communicator who builds rapport easily Keen to grow into a Foreman and eventually a Site Manager role A calm, reliable operator who takes pride in safe, quality delivery Your Pathway at Melrose A structured onboarding plan A tailored development pathway with clear milestones Exposure to both small and medium-sized commercial projects Mentoring from experienced construction leaders Opportunities to progress into Site Management or Project based roles Why Melrose A supportive team who want you to succeed, not fend for yourself A strong pipeline of diverse commercial projects Genuine career progression with a company that values training and development A culture built on care, dependability, and excellence If you are ready to build your commercial career the right way, we would love to hear from you.
