Senior Legal Counsel

Responsible for advising in complex/high‑profile litigations, investigations, securities, taxation and/or mergers and acquisitions in a legal specialty for the organization. Protects the organization’s interests in critical negotiations, settlements, and litigations and ensures compliance with all regulations. Contributes to strategic planning and decision‑making at the executive level to develop and implement a global strategy that aligns with both short‑ and long‑term corporate objectives. Stays abreast of changes in laws and related issues, and advises management on any changes that would significantly impact the organization. Manages risk by strategizing on appropriate responses to legal trends and rulings. Oversees legal defence actions and represents the group in matters before courts, government agencies, or other authorities in order to protect the organization’s legal and business interests. Develops a global network of legal partners and manages relationships to ensure the corporate interests are well‑represented. Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops professional legal staff to ensure that the legal activities across the group are conducted accurately, ethically and according to subsidiary/global line of business guidelines. Requires a Juris Doctor Degree and 20 years of relevant experience. Compensation Information: 150,000 - 200,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
