How you will contribute:

You will lead the Vienna site’s Manufacturing Sciences (MSci) organization.

Ensure robust and stable manufacturing processes for proteinaceous products.

Oversee Manufacturing Process Life Validation Cycle (Optimization, PPQ, CPV).

Drive yield planning, tracking, monitoring, forecasts, and improvement strategies for plasma-related products.

Manage MSci Process Labs efficiency.

Contribute to site operational performance and strategy as part of the Site Leadership Team (SLT).

Develop strategies to reduce deviations, stabilize processes, and improve yields.

Drive digitalization and automation of processes and lab operations.

Monitor and analyze KPIs for improvement opportunities.

Establish strategies to achieve business objectives.

Perform value-creation initiatives for OPEX improvement.

Manage the MSci budget within constraints.

Support the development of the MSci department towards digitalization.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and GMP standards.

Collaborate with other GMS/GQ Global Manufacturing Supply and Global Quality departments and the global MSci community.

Promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and DE&I within MSci.

Leadership:

What you bring to Takeda:

Master’s degree in biotechnology, pharmacy, bio-/chemistry, or equivalent.

10-15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in biotechnology.

Strong knowledge of Plasma or Biotech manufacturing processes and Six Sigma methodologies.

Excellent leadership, management, and project management skills.

Fluency in English and conversational level of German.

Knowledge of fractionation & purification of plasma proteins is highly desired.

Knowledge of US, EU, and ICH GMP guidelines is desired.

Knowledge of Quality Management and GxP principles is desired.

Demonstrated resilience and strong leadership abilities, capable of guiding teams through challenges with confidence and professionalism.

Advanced IT skills, including expertise in specific software, systems, or technologies relevant to the role, enabling efficient management of complex data and processes.

Extensive experience in driving and managing change, with a proven track record of successfully implementing organizational transformations.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to quickly identify issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.

In-depth knowledge of plasma-derived therapies and their manufacturing processes.

Strong decision-making skills, particularly in resolving issues and managing escalations, with a focus on minimizing disruption and ensuring continuity.

Ability to effectively prioritize and balance both local and global strategic and operational objectives.

Onsite presence.

Limited travel capability of approx. 10 %

A competitive compensation package with a minimum salary of € 8062 - gross per month (full-time, collective wage agreement for the chemical industry) - the actual salary depends on your professional experience and qualifications.
