Global Product Support Engineer

The Group You’ll Be A Part OfCSBG Global Product support Team The Impact You’ll MakeLam Research AG Villach CSBG Clean is seeking Hardware / System engineer who will provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature. Lam CSBG Clean (Spin Processor, DaVinci & DV-Prime) equipment experience is preferred.What You’ll DoResponsible for customer betas including installation, qualification, milestones, technical requirements, training and certification of local teams / customerProvides support to engineering and service products both at the factory and in the fieldIncludes working in customer wafer fabrication sites / environments as required to fulfil the support functionCreates and presents reports related to design, reliability, maintenance problems, SW bugs, projects and escalations to the relevant factory groupsCreates and updates documentation for field service engineers and customersSupport reported product issues by the field service engineers via problem reportsParticipates and leads as required Knowledge Management activities to share learning worldwide in order to expedite solutions, reduce repeat issues, escalations and improve cycle time closureProvides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in natureRepresents Lam by creating material and expertly presenting technical findings to the customerCan take place at the factory or in the field depending on the needCan include travel at short notice (24 hours)Who We’re Looking ForThere are certain working conditions and requirements for this role, requiring ability and willingness to:work in confined spaces, in cleanroom environmentswear and function in full personal protective equipmentwork with chemicalsPreferred QualificationsTechnical education in electronics, mechatronics, engineering or other applicable field of study Minimum of 5 years of related experience in Electrical Engineering/MechatronicsCompleted exam of HTL in Electrical Engineering or other applicable field of study Excellent presentation skillsProficiency in English (oral and written). Any other language would be an assetWillingness to travel ~25% worldwide is a requirement of this positionThis position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group E or F depending on education. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise, education, and skills.
