Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48 hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.
Hale School is seeking to appoint a Head of Swimming to commence in Term 3, 2024. The candidate is responsible for overseeing all aspects of swimming, ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs and services.
The Head of Swimming collaborates with the Master in Charge of Swimming, Aquatic Centre Manager, the Head of Sport, Head of Physical Education and Director of Co-Curricular, as well as external partners such as regulatory agencies and community groups to deliver the highest standards of aquatic programming.
The Head of Swimming has four key areas of responsibility:
- Head Coach; Competitive squads & Hale PSA Swim Team
- Strategic Pathway Management
- Staff Development & Recruitment
- Administration & Governance
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Coaching accreditation - Swimming Australia Performance Coach (or equivalent) / SCTA Gold Coach
- Current CPR & First Aid certifications
- Previous proven experience as a Head Coach or Senior Head Coach.
- Experience in coaching a number of National level athletes and attending National level competitions
