The Company
Robert Half Executive Search has been exclusively retained by an established and innovative member-led organisation to identify a strategic Head of / Go to Market Lead to focus on growth through improved product and service offerings and strategic partnerships with corporates and government.
Reporting to the CEO, and partnering closely with the Innovation and Product functions, the Go to Market Lead will be responsible for driving both customer/memberships and revenue growth within an organisation that is evolving at pace through significant digital transformation.
With a presence in every state in Australia, this significant organisation plays a vital role in the country’s ICT industry supporting and inspiring 1000’s of IT professionals in their careers each year. Through their rich ecosystem and partnerships with both commerce and government, the organisation offers many varied programmes and online resources from skills assessments, training courses and market-leading events to pioneering thought leadership materials.
The Role
This role is pivotal in supporting and strengthening Australia’s capabilities within the ICT sector, ensuring stability, growth, and compliance within the industry. Success in this role will lead to significant opportunities for career advancement for aspirational and ambitious individuals.
Overarchingly this will involve the achievement of the following:
- Review of current products and services and identification of key streams to drive growth leading to increased revenue streams.
- Work closely with key existing and new partners including corporate and government bodies, establishing relationships as the voice of authority in the industry.
- Leadership of a large team across sales, marketing, and events (40+ FTE), identifying and executing capability uplift to maximise growth.
- Identification, evaluation, and implementation of opportunities to increase brand awareness.
Your Profile
The successful individual will have proven senior leadership experience with cross-functional teams of 20+. They will bring solid experience across sales, partnerships, and/or marketing ideally within commercial organisations with enterprise customers in the ICT and/or government space. A strong background in business development and understanding of sales processes will set this individual up for success in the GTM role, though this will not be a ‘hardcore’ high target driven sales focussed environment.
In addition, the ideal candidate can demonstrate:
- A record of achievement in sales, customer and/or membership acquisition and revenue growth.
- An ability to confidently engage with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior success in setting and executing customer growth strategies in scaling / transforming businesses.
- Proven ability in creating value for customers through new and improved products and services tailored to customer needs and wants.
- Strong channel management and partnership development skills.
- A genuine passion and curiosity for technology and an understanding of ICT industry trends.
- An ability to galvanize teams toward achieving common goals adept at coaching, mentoring, and partnering.
