Growth and Innovation Coordinator

The purpose of the Growth and Innovation Coordinator is to help grow the game of netball by assisting the Communities team with administration tasks. The gowth and Innovation Coordinator will work closely with the Schools Lead to help administer the schools programs and support the development officer workforce.

NETBALL NSW OVERVIEW
Netball NSW is a not-for-profit organisation, governed by a Board of Directors and managed by professional staff. It is the peak state sporting organisation responsible for the governance, development, promotion and administration of netball throughout New South Wales and is a member organisation of Netball Australia.
Netball NSW provides the framework for approximately 115,000 registered members and over 150,000 total participants to enjoy netball at all levels throughout New South Wales. Our sport continues to grow both on and off the court and much of this success can be attributed to the wide range of programs, facilities and services Netball NSW offers to its members and participants - from the grassroots level through to the elite, professional level.
Netball NSW has a proud history of elite netball teams and athletes’ performances in national and international competition. Over 300 athletes have proudly represented NSW in elite competition since the inception of the national netball league in 1997 and then the ANZ Championship. 2017 saw the introduction of the Suncorp Super Netball (SSN), the top Australian domestic competition which includes two Netball NSW elite teams, the NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Overview of Tasks
Customer Focus
- Assist the Communities team to drive strategic and capability building frameworks for all participation products and events.
- Develop feedback loops and stakeholder engagement activity, that inform best practice across program development, delivery and strategy.
Operational Coordination
- Build and maintain current metropolitan Schools database but not limited to Netball NSW School Clinics, After School Programs, NGS Super Schools Cup and School Ambassador programs
- Administer NGS Super Schools Cup registrations working closely with the Schools Lead
- Assist with coordinating Development Officer’s to deliver the School and After School Programs throughout metropolitan Sydney
- Order netball equipment and uniforms for Development Officers and maintain stock levels through regular stocktaking
- Coordinate and deliver training of the After School program throughout metropolitan Sydney to ensure program consistency
- Maintain current WWCC audits with all metropolitan Development Officers
- Prepare clinic session plans and schedules and prepare and present evaluation reports
- Administer invoicing for all Schools programs and Sporting Schools
- Support the delivery of the casual Development Officer training plan and upskill new Development Officers as required

Administration Coordination
- Manage records, information and databases
- Administration for the communities team including but not limited to event support, reporting and EDM’s
- Ensure timely and efficient administration of casual staff
Evaluation and Communication
- Assist the Growth and Innovation Manager develop an evaluation program to monitor effectiveness of participation programs and recommend future strategies for sustainable program delivery
- Oversee timely communication to Associations and key stakeholders regarding netball participation products.
- Assist the Communities team to identify key areas/ regions to target for the delivery of specific programs and establish realistic and measurable outcomes
- With the support of the Communities Team, help to monitor and evaluate the casual workforce team
General
- Be willing and able to run netball based development programs at schools and community events.
- Commitment to growing a culture of success and fun in a fast paced environment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key personnel throughout the State.
- Abide by, promote and actively enforce Netball NSW policies.
- Actively participate and be part of the Netball NSW Team, where applicable.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Candidates for the position of the Growth and Innovation Coordinator require a range of personal and professional skills including:
Qualifications and experience
- Strong administration skills, with experience in the implementation and continuous development of participation programs.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, plan work programs, meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Ability to run netball based development programs
Knowledge and skills
- Clear, professional and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of the sporting culture, including working with a volunteer workforce.
- A high level of computer expertise covering word processing, presentation software, database skills and Microsoft Office.
- Willing to understand the structure of Clubs/Associations.
Personal attributes
- Professional and proactive attitude.
- Commitment to Netball NSW Values.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Prepared to travel, as required, and acknowledge that flexible work hours may be required on various occasions.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Quality of planning, reporting and timeliness of delivery across all participation programs and events
- Timeliness of delivery and ability to meet deadlines in a challenging work environment.
- Ability to work with people across all levels of the sport in a collaborative manner.
