We are now looking for a Site Operations Coordinator to join our team on a fixed-term, seven-month contract.

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Delivery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of the Master Delivery Schedule (MDS) for the Australian Open (AO). Your responsibilities will include coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the MDS, coordinate traffic management personnel to ensure the effective access to and from the site, assist in the determination and implementation of site hours, and managing supplier contracts to deliver traffic management infrastructure on site. Additionally, you will ensure that all health and safety and quality standards for the Australian Open are met.

About the role
In this role you will:

  • Manage suppliers to ensure infrastructure and traffic management overlay are installed, operational, maintained, and removed.
  • Collaborate with functional areas to develop access requirements, provide access options for review.
  • Procure temporary infrastructure and services related to the traffic management overlay scope.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure all health and safety and quality requirements are met.


About You
What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience and a strong understanding of major event operations and logistics.
  • Experience with traffic management suppliers and temporary infrastructure builds.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and event industry stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret traffic management overlay plans.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field.
  • Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current and valid Police Check and Working with Children Check
