Food and Beverage Supervisor

Paradise Resort Gold Coast is looking for a very 'hands on', energetic and highly motivated Food & Beverage Supervisor to join, lead and help develop our team.

You will be assisting the Food and Beverage Manager and fellow Supervisors to manage all operational aspects of the department.

Candidate must be flexible to work both A.M and P.M shift times.

The successful applicant will have a passion for hospitality and be responsible for the following:

  • Be able to juggle numerous tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Be comfortable in running a busy shift – Monitoring our multiple Food & Beverage Outlets, ensuring staff are performing their duties effectively and motivating staff to reach our targets and goals.
  • Lead by example by being an active and professional presence in the outlets and being an operationally savvy and "hands on" supervisor.
  • Assist in the development, communication, implementation and review of policies & procedures.
  • Have proven experience in staff training and development.
  • Promote positive working relationships between all departments of the hotel from kitchen, housekeeping, sales & marketing to engineering, reservations and finance.
  • Pro-actively and in a timely fashion respond to feedback from guests, staff and management.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous leadership experience as part of a large and fast-paced environment (essential).
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
  • A current RSA certificate and an understanding of liquor licensing and OH&S.
  • A genuine desire to coach, develop and motivate staff so they achieve the highest levels of performance and job satisfaction.
  • The ability to work a rotating roster and be available for a variety of shifts including: mornings, nights, weekends and Public Holidays.
