AMEC Plastics is a plastic injection moulding company now based in Arundel in the northern Gold Coast, 25 minutes from southern Brisbane suburbs. Operating on a 2 shift 5-day basis, the state-of-the-art facility houses a fleet of machinery ranging in size from 80T to 900T, with over one third of machines less than 3 years old and all available machines with integrated automation. With contracts for government departments, global and household brands alike, AMEC has a bright and sustainable future ahead. Proud of being one of the most advanced manufacturing plants in Queensland and Australia, AMEC is not just an injection moulding provider, but also capable of the Design and development for complex assemblies and post processing of componentry.
Full Cad CAM design facilities, Civil Design Services, 3D printing, Ultrasonic welding, Digital Printing. Fully equipped Toolroom and Maintenance workshop.

We are currently recruiting for a Warehousing and Despatch Officer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with and contribute to the continual improvement of the IMS
  • Safe and efficient warehousing of goods inwards / outwards:
    • Load/Unload trucks.
    • Maintain and store goods inwards.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure business goals are achieved.
    • Pick, return and store raw materials for manufacturing department.
    • Frequent manual handling that may include lifting.
    • Maintain an organized, tidy, and safe warehouse.
    • Assist with stock takes and stock control.
    • Maintain and organise product for dispatch.
    • Liaise with transport/drivers.
    • Recording and documentation of information.
    What We Are Looking For
    • Excellent communication, with the ability to interact with varying levels of stakeholders
    • Great work ethic and attitude
    • Experience in warehousing and dispatch functions
    • Experience in stock management and stock takes
    • Ability to prioritise and plan work to deadlines
    • Flexible and reliable
    • Current Queensland Forklift license

The following attributes would be helpful, but not essential:

  • Prior experience in Unleashed or similar MRP software
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Drivers License and own transport
  • Experience in operating to ISO standards

There will be an expectation to follow and add to existing documented processes, so good communication skills will be required, both verbal and written. Some computer literacy would be an advantage.

Full training will be provided to people who display the want to learn and can display very good teamwork and an attitude toward advancing oneself.
