The POSITION you will be undertaking:

We have recently joined a multi-national organisation based in the USA. This role will enable you to share your knowledge and expertise to assist during this transitional time.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will contribute by:

  • Working with external consultants to produce the annual tax return
  • Liaising with internal staff and external parties to complete the R&D tax claim
  • In addition to these critical projects your expertise would enable you to support the Finance team in completing month end processes, reviewing and submitting BAS returns and completion of the FBT return.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a full-time contract position for 3 months. There is the possibility of an extension or a permanent position in the future.

The PERSON that you are:

You consider yourself well organised, self-motivated, and proactive, with a fine eye for detail. You are known in your previous roles for your technical problem-solving skills; the ability to meet deadlines, and working collaboratively whilst functioning independently.

During your career you have taken ownership of the completion of company accounts, tax returns, GST, BAS and FBT reports. You can articulate the process for undertaking this work and seek clarification where required.

Your experience and skill set will include the following:

  • Bachelor's in commerce, Accounting or Finance; preferably with CPA or CA
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience including within a multi-national organisation
  • Understanding of the operation of manufacturing environments including product development and costing
  • High level of proficiency in working with Excel
  • Whilst we utilise NetSuite, exposure to this is ideal rather than essential
  • Well-developed communication skills, written and verbal
