Senior Accountant (Location: CBD Melbourne, Full-Time)

We will count on you to:

  • Prepare year-end Company statutory financial statements and assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related note disclosures in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure annual audit requirements are met and assist in the preparation of technical accounting analysis of transactions.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor compliance with relevant entities' Financial Services Licenses (AFSL).
  • Review and analyze trial balances to ensure accurate recording and movement in balances, and partner with MMC Accounting Operations hub for timely management reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in accounting processes and assist in the preparation of tax provision calculations in accordance with US GAAP.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 3 years of general accounting experience or professional services experience in the Financial Services Industry.
  • CA / CPA qualified with a Degree in Commerce or Accounting or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in the preparation and review of audit or financial statements.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on experience managing a diverse set of stakeholders, including senior management.
