Business Segment Industrial, the largest segment within the Entrance System Division of ASSA ABLOY is currently looking to fill an exciting role, part of the Austrian sales company in the Central European region.


We are looking for a Business Unit Manager (BU Manager) to drive profitable growth in both equipment and service sales.

The position is based in Schwechat, Austria, frequent travel is necessary, mainly nationally but also internationally when required. It is also necessary to speak both German and English fluently.

Business Segment Industrial develops, manufactures, sells, installs and services automatic doors solutions for industrial usage. BSI Austria leads a geographically spread organization of approximately 70 people and a turnover of EUR 17 mln.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and implement threefiveyear business plans.
  • Deliver the financial budget (profit and working capital).
  • Continue to develop a strong and profitable service business in accordance with the ASSA ABLOY Group strategy and guidelines.
  • Develop the Industrial Door business within new focused market segments.
  • Implement optimum processes and controls throughout the company to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop longterm and trusting relationships with key customers, have personal and close customer contacts.
  • Ensure compliance with ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
  • Ensure compliance with ASSA ABLOY and country specific Health and Safety regulations
  • Represent the company in legal, fiscal and structural matters
  • Secure development of key management and high potential employees to ensure continued success in talent management activities

Key competences:

  • Proven B2B commercial background preferably from a serviceintensive industry.
  • Strong financial understanding.
  • Confident communicator with natural interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business orientation, drive and result focus.
  • Knowledge of industrialrelated products and the construction market is highly desirable.

Key Requirements:

  • University degree, preferably in Engineering, Economics or Business Administration.
  • Fluent in both German and English
  • Circa 10 years experience, whereof min. five years have been spent successfully leading a sales company.
  • Experience working with globally operating corporations, in an international work environment.
