At the Institute for Ethics and Law in Medicine at the University of Vienna, a prae-doc position is available for four years in the field of medical law.


The task of the Institute for Ethics and Law in Medicine (IERM) is to represent medical ethics and medical law in an interdisciplinary and integrative manner in research, teaching and consulting.

The IERM coordinates and promotes the interdisciplinary scientific debate on questions of medical ethics and medical law, involving representatives from medicine, ethics in medical research, law, philosophy, theology, social sciences and nursing sciences (e.g. research discussions, preparation of interdisciplinary publications, scientific conferences). and symposia, etc.).

As part of its research activities, the IERM carries out specific research projects on selected medical-ethical and medical-legal issues.


We are a young, committed team that is looking for administrative support in the independent development and implementation of research projects within the research profile of the Institute for Ethics and Law in Medicine.

The employment contract is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 4 years, unless the employer declares non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months.


Duration of employment: 4 year/s

Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
