The Institute of Technology Assessment (ITA) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) Austria's leading

non-university research and science institution has a double mission: Its team carries out interdisciplinary

research on the impacts of new technologies on society, the environment, and the economy, i.e. technology

assessment (TA). The results of our work support policy-makers, the administration, and the public concerning

technology policy issues. The institute is offering a

ACADEMY SCIENTIST POSITION (F/M/X)
(full-time, 40 hours per week)

for a duration of 1 year.

Your tasks:

  • Strengthening the economic perspective on technology assessment
  • Research on the interaction between technology, the economy, and society
  • Acquisition of thirdparty funds for technology assessment projects
  • Collaboration in project teams for technology assessment studies
  • Active participation in the institute's inter
- and transdisciplinary discourse

Your profile:

  • Promotion in economics or a closely related field
  • Experience in the field of technology assessment as well as inter
- and transdisciplinary research (at least

5 years)

  • Experience in qualitative research methods and the organisation of workshops
  • Expertise in health, mobility, and labour policies
  • Excellent record of academic publications
  • Excellent German and English skills
  • Soft skills: capacity for teamwork, communicative character
