About the role:


The Head of Planning Vienna leads a team accountable for Production Planning, Packaging Planning and Supply Planning at the Vienna Site for Takeda's Global plasma and biologics products.

This role has wide responsibility for the supply chain planning at the Vienna Site interacting with different stakeholders to drive necessary actions in order to increase supply and/or shorten lead times to finally derive an optimal balance between demand & supply.

In this position you also support long-range capacity planning, is involved or leads critical supply projects and escalations to assure supply continuity.


How you will contribute:

  • Direct and lead 3 teams with a total of 20 team members
  • Accountability for endtoend supply chain planning at the Vienna Site from plasma input to final drug product to more than 100 countries
  • Monitor the execution of agreed plans, measure performance, solve and communicate any deviations from agreed plans to relevant stakeholders as well as work on resolution of escalation topics
  • In case of product shortages support the team to develop mitigation plans
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of products collecting and publishing key metric data using best in class data capture and reporting tools
  • Budget management including financial reporting and budget preparation
  • Represent Supply Chain Vienna in critical supply projects
  • Review and analyze supply chain KPIs to identify corrective and preventive actions and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead digital Supply Chain Transformation and assure people development

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics
  • Master degree and several years of proven practical experience in Supply Chain Management and Leadership
  • Work experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry very preferable
  • Demonstrated experience leading high priority business, critical initiatives within a matrix organization
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and coaching to team members and internal stakeholders regarding supply chain planning processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence at different levels of the organization
  • Outstanding business acumen as well as commercial and financial understanding
  • Solutionoriented, excellent analytical/problemsolving skills and flexible personality enjoying work in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent in using standard software like MS Office, Planning Tools and ERP software (e.g. JDE, SAP)
  • Excellent German and very good command of English
  • Strong Leadership

A competitive remuneration package with a minimum salary of € 5.222,35 gross per month (full-time, collective wage agreement for the chemical industry) -
