Project Overview:


Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.

Pluto Train 2 will process Scarborough gas and have an LNG capacity of ~5 million tonnes per annum.

As part of the construction of Pluto Train 2, additional domestic gas infrastructure will be installed to increase capacity to ~225 Terajoules per day.


Woodside Energy has selected Bechtel to deliver the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning scope of work for Pluto Train 2.

As the Camp Manager, you will ensure the highest quality of standards are delivered to all our staff.

What you bring:

  • Understanding comply with Project environmental, safety and health philosophy, systems and requirements.
  • Manage & supervise the Red Dog Village (RDV) Accommodation operations contract.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections of all Village facilities and ensure any maintenance or quality issues are resolved promptly.
  • Report any IR Issues to Work Force Services Manager.
  • Supports the Security Manager to manage and coordinate the Village Security.
  • Attend the Village prestarts, toolbox and progress meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure ES&H standards are being met across all Village facilities and operations.
  • Responsible for coordinating nonvillage accommodation for residents when necessary.
  • The focal Bechtel representative for Village relations.
  • Manage the function of the sewerage treatment plant and other essential services.
  • Coordinate the Village Crisis Management issues.
  • Responsible for ensuring daily meals are served in accordance with the required standards.
  • Contribute to the compilation of Village data in the Historical Report.
  • Monitor and address warranty issues associated with the Village construction contractor operations.
  • Supports Security Manager and Logistics Lead to ensure sufficient bussing is available for personnel to travel to and from the construction site.
  • Supports Security Manager and Logistics Lead to implement changes for personnel when inclement weather prevails.
  • Present inductions to village contractor personnel emphasizing Bechtel Zero Incident Philosophy.

About you:

  • At least 15 years industry experience in hotel or hospitality management with demonstrated management experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications.
  • Chef qualified or trade qualifications in a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of HACCAP regulations.
  • Sound knowledge of large volume cooking requirements and practices.
  • Understanding of Bechtel Workforce Services strategy, procedures, and practices.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of database administration and security systems.
  • Experienced in contract administration.
  • Competent commercial and financial management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement new systems to support the broader Workforce Services strategy and services.
  • Confidence to undertake public speaking in front of management and a manual craft workforce.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, including managing relationships.
  • Proven and effective organisational abilities.
  • Understanding of conflict resolution.
  • Must have the right to work in Australia and Camp operations experience within an industrial environment is preferred.

  • The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a nonsmoking site and no tobacco products i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco are permitted to be brought to the site._
