About the job


As the Head of Automation, you lead the global RHI Magnesita Automation Team consisting of six automation engineers based in Austria, Germany, China and Brazil.

The primary focus of your team will be to enhance productivity and reduce costs in our global sits.

You will support and oversee the implementation, maintenance, and standardization of state-of-the-art industrial automation technology such as robotics and AGV.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Global Operations Technology with whom you will closely collaborate on MES integration, continuous improvement and potential optimization.

Together, you will strategize on future MES rollouts and future migration plans. In this position, you will travel approx. 30-50% of your work time to visit RHI Magnesita and customer sites.

In addition, your tasks will include

  • Leading, coaching, and guiding the automation team to execute projects at RHI Magnesita plants worldwide
  • Supporting the plants in conducting basic engineering packages
  • Acting as program manager for DCS rollout and future migration plans for our plants worldwide

What we expect from you in terms of

Education & Skills

  • Master's degree in Engineering (chemical, industrial, electrical, mechanical)
  • Profound knowledge of industrial systems control (DCS, PLC, SCADA, MES)

Languages

  • English
  • Proficient/Fluent
  • German language skills will be considered an asset

Work Experience

  • Extensive relevant working experience
  • Practical and solid experience in Level 1 and Level 2 automation and controls (hardware and software)

The annual gross salary for this position will start from € ,00 on a full-time basis, depending on your qualification and experience, as well as the amount of overtime and your level of seniority.
