YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a consultant for our strategic partners and as an interface to PALFINGER to reach our common long term goals
  • Identify cost potentials, work out and implement solutions with the suppliers
  • Identify process weaknesses and implement improvements
  • Project Manager for relocations to the suppliers till sustainable serial supply
  • Giving supplier related inputs in DesigntoCost/ Benchmarking workshops
  • Act as a task force manager in case of severe lack of performance (supply / quality) of suppliers

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in either/or: Mechanical / Manufacturing / Project Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Economics
  • Long term (Project) experience in a manufacturing environment relevant industrial experience may compensate for lack of formal education
  • Excellent communication (even on management level) and leadership skills (ability to take over interim management if required)
  • Knowledge in the fields of Lean management, Production systems (TPS), Layout optimization, Value stream analysis, Capacity planning
  • Strong understanding of processes like sourcing, manufacturing, logistics and quality assurance
  • Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Ability to identify potentials at suppliers on your own, however as well able to effectively lead a team of experts
  • Willingness to travel globally, focus on Europe (app. 50+ %)
  • Deep understanding of calculation and cost impacts

Minimum gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 46.346,72 per year (full-time). We are willing to overpay according to training and qualification.
