Market Development Manager

The Market Development Manager provides qualified support to the Vice President Sales & Service EMEA in strategic, operational, and conceptual matters.


This is a dynamic role, in which the position holder is tasked with managing the VP's priorities, acting as a thought partner to the Vice President and supporting critical projects.

To be successful in the role, the incumbent will be highly organized, possess exceptional communication skills and be a strategic thinker.


TASKS:

  • Market analysis for the EMEA region
  • Strategy Development together with the VP for the EMEA region
  • Prepares business cases according to the strategic initiatives
  • Business development and investment support for new and existing opportunities.
  • Relationship and stakeholder management
  • Customer and sales channel analysis
  • Develop of new digital sales channels
  • Prepares all presentations and reports for the VP
  • Plans the annual calendar of the VP
  • Proactively proposes improvements and new ideas to the VP
  • Works With VP's admin assistant to ensure all requests of the VP are attended to
  • Establishment of productive and successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contacts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Business or Engineering
  • 24 years of working experience in a dynamic environment
  • Flexibility to travel
  • Professional English to collaborate effectively with regional counterparts
  • Extensive experience in analyzing markets and preparing strategic proposals
  • Extensive experience in analyzing and preparing presentations
  • Experience in handling different stakeholders on different hierarchical levels
  • Experience in planning and conducting events
  • Sound knowledge of MS-Office
  • Ability to work in a structured way in a dynamic environment
  • Selfmotivated, proactive and has a high degree of resilience
  • High degree of analytical capabilities and straight forward thinking
  • Ability to adopt to a highly diversified cultural landscape
  • Ability to treat information with the highest degree of confidentiality
  • Professional English language and German and other languages are beneficial
