Responsibilities

  • Performs and supervises Payroll accounting activities (base pay, social charges, accruals, bonuses, share based payments and adhoc elements)
  • Builds and maintains Payroll accounting and reporting calendar
  • Tracks and coordinates Payroll booking reviews
  • Connects to Local HR teams regularly to monitor legal changes and ensure that booking templates and controls are uptodate
  • Perform SOX controls and propose improvements in manual control processes
  • Coordinates Payroll related statutory audit questions in the SSC under the supervision of Group Tax Director
  • The SME is responsible to manage the processes of the complex entities (Austria, Germany Switzerland) and coordinate the work of GL accountants for the medium and low complexity entities
  • Payroll booking and coordination activities: 50%
  • Controls: 30%
  • Project work: 20%

  • Effective communication: ability to communicate effectively within and outside finance
Qualifications and education requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting
  • Minimum 7 years of practical experience in Finance with minimum 2 years in Payroll Controlling area
  • Understanding of SOX controls, experience in an international SOX and IFRS accounting environment
  • Very good MS-Office skills, especially Excel, experience in working with accounting software's
  • Advanced understanding of accounting ERP modules
  • Excellent English language skills (oral & written), other language is a plus
