**Ihr persönlicher Spielraum**:

- als auch angewandte Forschung im Rahmen eines intensiven, auf die wissenschaftliche Bedürfnisse der Studierenden zugeschnittenen Doktoratsprogramms in kleinen thematischen Gruppen betreiben.

Die Doctoral School Computer Science bietet die Möglichkeit eines leistungsbezogenen 6-monatigem Abschlussvertrags für Doktorand*innen, die zuvor eine Position als Universitätsassistent*in (prae doc) oder wissenschaftlichen Projektmitarbeiter*in (prae doc) an der Universität Wien innegehabt haben. Dieser Abschlussvertrag soll eine*n hochqualifizierte*n Fellow in der Endphase der Doktoratsstudien unterstützen. Die oder der erfolgreiche Bewerber*in wird als Universitätsassistent*in (prae doc) beschäftigt und der Forschungsgruppe Data Mining and Machine Learning an der Fakultät für Informatik tätig sein.

**Das machen Sie konkret**:
Sie beteiligen sich aktiv an der Forschung, Lehre & Administration, das bedeutet:

- Ihre Hauptaufgabe besteht darin, Ihre Dissertation abzuschließen und einzureichen.
- Sie treffen sich regelmäßig mit Ihren Betreuer*innen, um Ihre Aufgaben zu priorisieren und die notwendige Unterstützung zu erhalten, um Ihre Dissertation erfolgreich und rechtzeitig abzuschließen.
- Sie nehmen an den Aktivitäten und Workshops Ihres Instituts und der Doctoral School teil.
- Sie nehmen an Konferenzen teil und veröffentlichen Forschungsergebnisse in peer-reviewed Zeitschriften.
- Sie unterstützen die Lehre der Forschungsgruppe im Bereich des Maschinellen Lernens sowie der Betreuung von Studierendenprojekten.
- Sie halten selbstständig Lehrveranstaltungen im Ausmaß der kollektivvertraglichen Bestimmungen und betreuen Studierende.

- Überdurchschnittlicher Master-Abschluss oder gleichwertiger Abschluss in einem relevanten Studienbereich.
- Hervorrangende Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Causal Machine Learning, Variational Methods in Machine Learning und Bayesian Learning (belegt durch Publikationen o.ä.)
- Hervorragende akademische Studienleistungen, insbesondere erste Publikation(en) im Bereich des kausalen Maschinellen Lernens
- Hoher Grad an Motivation und Engagement, um Ihre Doktoratsstudien erfolgreich innerhalb des vorgesehenen Zeitrahmens abzuschließen.
- Kooperatives, teamorientiertes und proaktives Verhalten.
- Hohe schriftliche und mündliche Kommunikationsfähigkeiten
- Ausgezeichnete Englischkenntnisse (C1)
- Erfahrung mit den Strukturen der Universität Wien
- Erfahrung in der Lehre, insbesondere im Bereich Maschinelles Lernens, sowie der eigenständigen Betreuung von Studierenenprojekten der Informatik
