Research field

Our research is driven by the need to process and analyze millions of metrics and events in real-time.

Processing the huge amounts of data requires highest scalability not only of the infrastructure but also of the applied technologies and algorithms to handle data ingest and storage, and to enable large-scale data analysis and anomaly detection in real-time.

It includes transaction processing, query optimization and processing, indexing and search, data extraction, distributed systems, stream processing and analysis, databases and storage technologies, new architectures, and caching.


Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong interest in performance and resource optimization as well as in algorithm development for indexing, pattern matching, sketching, query optimization
  • Strong publication record (of course in relation to the "academic age")
  • Excellent English skills (oral and written)

  • Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 50,000 gross per year based on fulltime employment (38.5 h/week). We offer a
