**Ihr persönlicher Spielraum**:

- als auch angewandte Forschung im Rahmen eines intensiven, auf die wissenschaftlichen Bedürfnisse der Studierenden zugeschnittenen Doktoratsprogramms in kleinen thematischen Gruppen betreiben.

Die Doctoral School Computer Science bietet die Möglichkeit eines leistungsbezogenen 6-monatigen Abschlussvertrags für Doktorand*innen, die zuvor eine Position als Universitätsassistent*in (prae doc) oder wissenschaftlichen Projektmitarbeiter*in (prae doc) an der Universität Wien innegehabt haben. Dieser Abschlussvertrag soll eine*n hochqualifizierte*n Fellow in der Endphase der Doktoratsstudien unterstützen. Die oder der erfolgreiche Bewerber*in wird als Universitätsassistent*in (prae doc) beschäftigt und in der Forschungsgruppe "Theory and Applications of Algorithms" an der Fakultät für Informatik tätig sein.

**Das machen Sie konkret**:
Sie beteiligen sich aktiv an Forschung, Lehre & Administration, das bedeutet:

- Ihre Hauptaufgabe besteht darin, Ihre Disseration abzuschließen und einzureichen.
- Sie treffen sich regelmäßig mit Ihrem Betreuer*innen, um Ihre Aufgaben zu priorisieren und die notwendige Unterstützung zu erhalten, um Ihre Disseration erfolgreich und rechtzeitig abzuschließen.
- Sie nehmen an den Aktivitäten und Workshops Ihres Instituts und der Doctoral School teil.
- Sie nehmen an Konferenzen teil und veröffentlichen Forschungsergebnisse in peer-reviewed Konferenzen/Zeitschriften.
- Sie suchen aktiv Unterstützung (Workshops, Schulungen, Coaching usw.), wenn diese erforderlich ist.
- Sie halten selbstständig Lehrveranstaltungen im Ausmaß der kollektivvertraglichen Bestimmungen.

- Überdurchschnittlicher Master-Abschluss in Computer Science oder Computational Science.
- Hervorragende Kenntnisse im Bereich kombinatorischer Algorithmen und deren theoretischer Analyse.
- Hervorragende Programmierkenntnisse.
- Hervorragende akademische Studienleistungen (z.B. jährliche Einreichung von Fortschrittsberichten; herausragende Publikationsbilanz usw).
- Hoher Grad an Motivation und Engagement, um Ihre Doktoratsstudien erfolgreich innerhalb des vorgesehenen Zeitrahmens abzuschließen.
- Ausgezeichnete Englisch
- und Deutschkenntnisse (C1) in Wort und Schrift.
- Kooperatives, teamorientiertes und proaktives Verhalten.
- Hohe schriftliche und mündliche Kommunikationsfähigkeiten.
- Erfahrung mit den Strukturen der Universität Wien.
- Erfahrung im Verfassen und der Publikation wissenschaftlicher Texte.

Idealerweise verfügen Sie über:

- Hervorragende C++ Kenntnisse.
- Ausgezeichnete Erfahrung im Bereich Algorithm Engineering.
- Theoretische und praktische Erfahrung mit dynamischen Algorithmen, Algorithmen für Datenanalyse, Algorithmen für Datencenteroptimierungen, sowie Differential Privacy.
- Auslandserfahrung.
