Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Digital Solutions - DACH Region

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technology strategies for clients in the DACH region, ensuring scalable and future-proof solutions.
  • Lead AI initiatives, including workshops and productization, while shaping Vention's AI service offerings to align with market trends and client needs.
  • Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to VC-backed startups and established enterprises, driving their success.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to help clients define software architecture, tech stacks, and product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions that follow industry best practices.
  • Represent Vention at industry events, tech conferences, and networking forums to strengthen the company's presence in the region.
  • Support technical pre-sales efforts by working closely with sales and demand generation teams, offering insights into optimal technologies and solution architectures.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of technical and commercial goals.
  • Establish and refine best practices for technology roadmaps, DevOps, and agile methodologies to enhance software development efficiency.

Qualifications

  • C2-level proficiency in German and C1-level proficiency in English (mandatory).
  • Proven experience as a CTO, Tech Lead, or Senior Engineering professional, preferably within a digital consultancy, software development company, or startup ecosystem.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in one or more of the following: Java, .NET/C#, Kotlin, Go, Node.js, Python/Django, JavaScript.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with DevOps best practices.
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, microservices, and scalable architectures.
  • Ability to drive technology strategy and provide executive-level technical guidance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and growing technical teams.
  • Experience in the DACH market with a solid understanding of its business culture and technology trends.
  • Willingness to travel within the region and internationally as needed.
  • Background in HealthTech, FinTech, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience in complex, compliance-driven sectors.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
