About the Role
This is excellent and rare opportunity for a senior leader to join in our ANZ business in an executive director capacity.
The Regional Director – East Coast would take regional leadership and P+L responsibility for our NSW and QLD multidisciplinary business, leading teams in the region across the built environment, civil infrastructure, facades and advisory, as well as regional administrative support functions.
You will be a structural engineer who has great market connectivity. You will be known in the market as a highly competent and respect professional and you will enjoy working collaboratively with clients to achieve excellent outcomes.
You will enjoy thinking outside of the box and tackling complex challenges with innovation and unconventional thinking. You will thrive on getting the best out of the people who work with you and/or report to you, inspiring them to achieve outcomes they didn’t think they were capable of themselves.

Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute business strategies for the region in line with Meinhardt ANZ strategy.
- Drive business development, identifying new clients and opportunities.
- Stabilize and develop operations within NSW and QLD.
- Identify multi-disciplinary opportunities across the region.
- Manage existing clients and key accounts, promoting all capabilities.
- Project Director for selected projects, maintaining high-level client contact.
- Develop staff and teams, working with HR and Discipline Directors.
- Ensure compliance with risk management and contract review processes.
- Liaise with corporate functions and Business Unit Leaders.
- Manage finances, engineering processes, and drive innovation.
- Contribute to Horizon 1, 2, and 3 growth plans.
Skills & Experience
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in winning work across disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills and industry experience of 20+ years.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Established presence and knowledge in Built Environment or Civil Infrastructure sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Structures) and relevant industry experience.
- Post Graduate qualifications and professional memberships.
- Chartered Professional Engineer registration and/or National Engineering Register.
- Personal qualities: business development skills, commercial acumen, results-oriented, commitment to new ideas, talent recognition, motivation, and drive.
