Job Description:
Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior - Principal Project Manager with a contaminated land background. The successful candidate will lead and manage projects involving the investigation, assessment, and remediation of contaminated sites, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and delivering high-quality solutions to their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage contaminated land projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
- Provide technical expertise in contaminated land assessment, remediation, and management.
- Oversee the design and implementation of field investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring, and analysis.
- Evaluate remedial options and develop cost-effective and sustainable remediation strategies.
- Review technical reports, data analysis, and modeling to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of environmental regulations, guidelines, and best practices related to contaminated land management.
- Ensure all project activities comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Interface with regulatory agencies and obtain necessary permits and approvals for project activities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service delivery.
- Identify client needs and develop innovative solutions to address their challenges.
- Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development and growth.
- Delegate tasks effectively, provide guidance, and promote a collaborative team environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in contaminated land management, environmental consulting, or related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects.
- Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE, PG, CHMM) preferred.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and guidelines, particularly related to contaminated land.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis, modeling, and project management.
- Ability to travel as required for project meetings, site visits, and client interactions.
