ABOUT THE ROLE
This unique opportunity will provide an enthusiastic Project Manager the chance to both lead projects and share your professional project management knowledge and expertise to enable AHA to deliver highly effective projects.
Reporting to the General Manager Customer Strategy and Operations (CSO), the Project Manager role will provide organisational wide support in coordinating, implementing and delivering internal and external projects of varying complexity, budgets, and stakeholder engagement. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing the project tools and templates and providing education and awareness to AHA personnel in the effective planning, managing and execution of projects. A key focus of this role will be ensuring that projects either directly or indirectly align with and deliver on AHA’s annual operating plan and strategic priorities.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
- Tertiary qualifications in project management or an equivalent relevant field.
- Experience managing and providing guidance on small to large and complex projects.
- Proven experience in risk management to determine and mitigate the risks associated with the delivery of the project.
- Proven experience in people management to be able to influence and manage the team to meet deliverables.
- Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
- Knowledge and proficiency of project management techniques, tools and software.
- Demonstrated experience in providing guidance, education and coaching to enhance the skills and knowledge of others in project management methodologies and best practices.
- Planning and organisational skills to ensure that the project remains on track.
- Excellent decision-making and influencing skills to ensure the most appropriate course of action (for example, for when there is slippage in the project milestones/dates for delivery).
- Effective teamwork skills to ensure project stakeholders are aligned to common goals.
- Creative and independent thinker with the ability and confidence to propose solutions to complex issues.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively with leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships and networks with members and key stakeholders.
DESIRABLE
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
- Proven experience in change management.

Total remuneration for this position is from $119,351 (including super) and will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s level of experience.
