Digital Solutions overview – The Digital Solutions Division is responsible for national digital health architecture, conformance, data, design, products, standards and for supporting the user design principles that underpin all the Agency’s products and services.

About the Role
The Agency are currently recruiting for Project Manager (EL1) to join our team on a Full-time ongoing basis. The successful applicant will be an experienced project manager who will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex digital health standards related projects. This requires high level of engagement and relationship management to stakeholder’s role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of project milestones with internal and external stakeholders. The Project Manager will require the ability to facilitate technical discussions to understand impact on project delivery and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

The Project Manager role will report to the Director, Standards in the Digital Solutions Division. The Project Manager is required to undertake highly specialised, technical work contributing critical elements to projects and business-as-usual service delivery that impact on strategic and operational outcomes for the agency. Within this role the successful applicant will be assisting with the management of Agency procurement, contracts, and finance requirements.
The role will be responsible for:

  • Support the Agency’s role in the Sparked collaborative, providing strategic advice and leadership to the collaborative.
  • Contribute to expert advice to digital health program areas in relation to digital health standards development, adoption and implementation.
  • Lead a program of work to support upskilling and education of the workforce in digital health standards development and implementation.
  • Support digital health standards use, development and implementation with other areas of the business to ensure streamlined participation in digital health community functions.

Skills and Experience
The following Knowledge, Skills and Experience will be super beneficial to hit the ground running in this role:

  • Previous experience working as a Project Manager with large organisations.
  • Experience in managing multi-stakeholder, standards related projects is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing digital health projects in a multi-vendor environment, creating and managing integrated project schedules that align dependencies and deliverables, track progress and minimise project risk.
  • Highly organised with sound knowledge of digital transformation, standards and interoperability.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects and priorities, and pivot between different projects and activities.
  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability assist in the preparation of ministerial briefs, agendas, papers, and reports.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management to achieve project and be able to understand, negotiate and resolve complex, difficult, and/or sensitive issues.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
  • Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
