About the Company:

Our client, a leading firm renowned for its impactful contributions to the environmental sector, is seeking an experienced Regional Business Development Director to expand their operations in the Australian voluntary credits market. This role, based in either Sydney or Melbourne, offers the opportunity to drive growth and sustainability initiatives in a dynamic and fast-evolving market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute regional strategies to increase market share and revenue in the voluntary credits sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, government entities, and non-profit organizations.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals that contribute to the firm's growth and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns that highlight the firm's offerings and successes in the voluntary credits market.
  • Provide thought leadership and insights into market trends to guide the firm’s strategic direction and product development.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and uphold the firm's reputation for ethical business practices.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in business development, preferably in the environmental, sustainability, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record of developing strategic partnerships and achieving growth targets.
  • Strong understanding of the voluntary carbon credits market and relevant Australian regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a robust analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
