Director - Insights, Communications and Creative

RPS is a Tetra Tech Company. We are a global professional services firm of 5,600 people. Operating in 125 countries our people are as diverse as the communities and clients we represent. Together, we define, design, and manage projects that create shared value in a complex, urbanising and resource-scarce world.

We solve problems that matter to our clients and their communities. We are easy to work with, we are confidently pragmatic, and we have a winning mindset. Making complex easy.

Our people are advising on Australia’s largest infrastructure projects in the renewable energy, transport and social infrastructure sectors. We work across the project lifecycle including on major infrastructure projects nationally. Our goal is to enhance the social, environmental, commercial and economic value of Australia’s investment in infrastructure.

We’re a company built on people with a common purpose. We define, design and manage projects that create shared value. With an outstanding reputation in the market, we are looking for someone to share our passion for solving problems that matter and help shape a sustainable future.

Our Canberra team is growing as a result, we are looking to build our advisory services to partner with our well-established Project Management team.

You will be a key leader within RPS’ National Insights, Communications and Creative team. We encourage and value different ideas, perspectives and styles of thinking. You’ll be joining a diverse community and company that puts people first and you’ll be supported every step of the way.

This is a great opportunity to take on a senior leadership role, grow a recognised business and make an important contribution to the success of our team.

You will have a deep understanding of the ACT and Federal Government sectors, particularly in the planning, approvals and delivery of major initiatives and projects.

You will have the ability to position and market RPS in line with our strategic direction and brand aspirations and identify and win flagship projects that significantly add to our reputation and market profile.

In addition to leading and delivering communications and engagement commissions in the ACT and nationally, you will also play an active role in identifying business development opportunities.

You will work specifically within the Canberra market to win work with infrastructure and government clients, but you will also be required to win work and lead communications projects across all sectors and geographies as required.

Our office in Griffith has a fantastic culture, including opportunities for collaboration and social activities with our other business units and cross divisional opportunities.

Your Impact

  • Provide project leadership for communications projects.
  • Identify and win new business in the ACT. The focus of this will be within your region, however you will be expected to support other geographies outside your region in winning new business. • Support the Canberra team in providing thought leadership across relevant sectors.
About You

As a recognised industry leader and innovator, you will be a driven and energetic professional, with strong presentation and communication skills. You have the confidence to take the initiative to proactively solve problems and achieve outcomes. You’re unquestionably a people person who can build and maintain valuable relationships with existing and new clients. You’re a great leader and know how to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working cooperatively, and inspiring others around you to achieve outstanding outcomes.

You will also have:

  • More than fifteen years’ proven experience in communication, engagement and community relations, including managing issues for government and/or infrastructure delivery clients associated with infrastructure planning and delivery.
