Position Profile:

Saluda Medical was founded in 2013 the purpose of transforming patient's lives by pioneering disruptive smart neuromodulation solutions. As a fast-growing company with global operations, the purpose of this role is two-fold:

  • Firstly, support the FP&A activities for the International (AU and EU) commercial business units. Responsibilities include supporting the long-term planning, AOP/budgets, forecasts, capital planning, KPI reporting and analysis, and sales operations support.
  • Secondly, AU based liaison for agreed global finance activities performed in the AU office, these include FBP and Accounting support for AU based business units such as R&D incl QC&R, Supply Chain, Sales Ops, IT and G&A.


This role will report to the Snr FP&A Manager [International] and will work closely with the global finance team.

Accountabilities and Associated Responsibilities:

Working as contributor to the Global Finance and International Commercial leadership teams:

Financial Planning [International Business Units]
  • Support the development of financial plans that align with achieving Saluda's overall strategic goals.
  • Support the financial analysis of commercial plans to ensure robust financial revenue, OpEx and headcount/people cost, 5YP, budgets, forecasts, S&OP FP&A purposes.
  • Support and continuous development of the long term planning model and ensuring alignment with the long-term strategic plan and business objectives.
  • Support the budgeting process, collaborating with business unit finance teams to establish plans and assumptions for achieving business targets.
  • Support the forecast process, monitoring performance against targets, updating forecasts, and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Support the development and distribution of KPI dashboards, automating data and reporting while promptly addressing material changes in outlook.
  • Analyse cost drivers, operating expenses, and cash trends; work with business unit finance teams to ensure spending aligns with targets.
  • Conduct scenario analysis, modelling business scenarios and developing contingency plans to navigate changes in market conditions.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in relevant systems throughout budget and reforecast processes.
  • Support global FP&A activities for the AU based business units.


Financial Business Partnering [International Business Units]
  • Support the Snr FP&A Mgr [ International ] in partnering the CFO/CEO and ELT in delivering on the International financial plans, and other relevant duties as directed by your manager.
  • Support the Finance business partnering of the International Business Unit Teams to deliver on their financial plans.
  • Proven experience leading and contributing to growth and improvement initiatives such as dashboard reporting, project tracking and delivery, RFQ's and commercial negotiations and system improvements.
  • Support global FBP activities for the AU based business units.


Financial Performance Reporting and Financial Accounting [International]
  • Operate and continuously improve the financial performance management processes, reports and KPI's to enable achievement of their business goals.
  • Deliver accurate monthly results, forecast and budget pack as well as oversight and distribution of action oriented KPI dashboards.
  • Ensure month end processes are complete and accurate across the International Business Units
  • Analyse trends to provide insights to better understand costs and profitability
  • Experience developing action plans and improvement of reporting capabilities and finance technologies.
  • Support global financial reporting activities for the AU based business units.


Maintaining an Effective Internal Control Environment [International]
  • Together with the global financial accounting team, ensuring an effective internal control environment for the International Business Units to ensure integrity of the financial information.
  • Strong understanding regarding financial policies and protocol related to internal controls monitoring and compliance auditing.
  • Ensuring accountable financial policies and internal controls are relevant, up to date, and monitoring for compliance, support financial audits and assessments of the control environment as required, maintaining the integrity of data, and continuously improving the quality of financial information.
  • Support global Internal Control activities for the AU based business units.


Additional expectations:
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures.
  • Some travel may be required.


Essential Requirements:

  • Proven FP&A and Accounting experience in complex operating environments, including budgeting/forecasts, management reports, month end and analytics
  • Professional Accounting or Finance Qualifications (Chartered, CPA or equivalent)
  • 5+ years commercial experience in a multinational organisation
  • Solid knowledge of Sales, commercial and market model support and R&D portfolio management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated ability to work in high performing teams and delivering process excellence
  • Strong in Microsoft Excel, attention to detail and advanced financial modelling
  • Good working knowledge of MS Powerpoint and Word
  • Experience BI (Workday Analytics, Power BI, or similar) and ERPs (eg QAD or similar)
  • Alignment with Saluda's core values


Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in the medical device manufacturing field or a similar highly regulated business environment
  • Experience with sales and market models, project accounting and cost accounting
  • Experience in public listed organisations, ideal US or International listed organisations
