For more than five decades, they have been passionately dedicating their energy to advocating for the hungry and those in need within the Brisbane community. Their year-round service delivery ensures that they are present at three locations across Brisbane every day, where their teams serve warm coffee, nourishing breakfasts, and valuable connections to those they call friends. The service operates with a volunteer base of over 150 Brisbane locals who commit to the cause and mission every day, regardless of weather or occasion.
About the role
As the General Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in bridging the Board, Operations team, and dedicated volunteers, bringing leadership that drives real impact. You'll spearhead operational improvements, collaborate closely with external partners and donors, and have a unique opportunity to shape and enhance the organisation's technology capabilities. This role isn't just about managing-it's about innovating and making a lasting difference, building on our mission.
Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee all aspects to ensure seamless delivery.
- Strategy Implementation: Drive organizational strategies aligned with our mission and goals.
- Marketing and Partnerships: Lead the delivery of our marketing strategy and foster partnerships.
- Administrative/Financial Oversight: Ensure efficient management within designated delegations.
Skills and experience
- Diploma or Degree in Business or other equivalent field
- Previous leadership experience essential; volunteer management highly regarded.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Sound judgment, initiative, confidentiality, and sensitivity.
- Valid Open Driver's Licence.
- Knowledge of statutory requirements and implementation of relevant procedures.
