This position is responsible for the delivery of high-quality events, activities to grow and retain membership and contributing to building partnerships, including through sponsorship and fundraising.

Position Description:

  • Excellent coordination and planning/project management skills with expertise to increase the profile and exposure of the business through the planning, coordination, and delivery of creative, memorable, and diverse events
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and build positive working relations with a diverse range of stakeholders including members
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying opportunities for funding and sponsorship to contribute to campaigns, events and other discrete projects
  • Experience using a range of software including CRM/stakeholder management systems.
  • High level ability to prepare a range of written documents including project proposals and plans, reports, briefings and communications to members.

Position Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Event Management and/or Marketing (highly desirable) with a minimum of 3-5 years demonstrated experience to fulfil the requirements of the role.
  • Highly organised with excellent event management experience with a strong emphasis on time management, problem-solving, attention to detail, financial accountability, and flexibility to adjust and adapt workloads to meet competing priorities delivering on agreed outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build positive working relationships internally and externally and working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong administration and written communication skills to prepare project plans, reports, correspondence, and marketing and promotional material.
  • High level IT skills, specifically Microsoft Office, and event software.
  • Experience in using CRM / stakeholder management systems and analysing data and reporting, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
  • Commitment to social justice, company values and the role of the community services sector in delivering services to vulnerable Queenslanders.
