Our Digital and Information Services team overseas initiatives that improve how we engage with our stakeholders and deliver value. As the Principal Project Officer within our Digital Operation unit, you will be responsible for driving digital delivery streams from inception to completion by leading digital and technology professionals to produce exceptional results for the department's various lines of business.

The Principal Project Officer, AO7 is a role in which you will:

  • Provide project leadership within a high-functioning team through the design, mentoring and peer review of work.
  • Manage projects to ensure delivery of timely outcomes, including effective task allocation and prioritisation, monitoring progress, problem-solving and reporting on potential risks and treatment options.
  • Lead, consult and negotiate with stakeholders (internal and external, to effectively and robust represent the department's interest.
  • Compile and communicate strategic advice to a variety of customers regarding complex and sensitive data issues, including ( but not limited to) system and technology recommendations.
  • Prepare well-researched papers, including Senior Management Team papers, Briefing Notes and other executive level correspondence.
  • Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
