The Global Markets Chief Operating Office is responsible for leading and driving the strategic direction of the Global Markets business, as well as leading the operational effectiveness of activities that span across the Global Markets business such as the technology and change portfolio, transformation activities, and regulatory systems.

Do work that matters:

In this role, you will be accountable for delivery of strategic technology change across Fixed Income, Rates, Currency and Commodities.

You will work with stakeholders of all levels of seniority across the Group as you assist in delivery of IB&M strategy, whilst ensuring ongoing awareness and review of risks.

Further responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Work with Crew Lead, technology leads and performance leads to deliver key Objectives for Traded products platforms
  • On day-to-day basis lead the delivery team by providing business context, clarity and product vision
  • Work with sales and trading business to capture business requirements, prioritise and relay them to technology development teams
  • Maintain a well prioritised backlog to deliver better customer outcomes
  • Effectively communicate with senior business and technology stakeholders to ensure key priorities are well understood and agreed to
  • Lead and develop product roadmap including platform resilience and future scalability
  • Apply expertise to support prioritisation, balance trade-offs and explore strategies to successfully achieve business outcomes
  • Incorporate tools such as design thinking and analytics to feed into product development
  • Formulate hypotheses to validate customer problems and define clear learning objectives that will inform product roadmap and prioritisation decisions
  • Accountable for addressing any impediments, driving decisions and resolve any dependencies across other platforms
  • Proactively identify, articulate and manage risks and compliance across your product
  • Work with various COOs, Line 1 & Line 2 Risk teams and Compliance ensure adherence to Global Markets policies across platforms you are responsible for



We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Previous experience as Product owner or Product Manager or Scrum master in Financial Markets technology delivery environment
  • Scrum Alliance certification such as CSPO or CSM is must
  • Sound knowledge of financial markets especially Foreign exchange, Fixed Income & Rates
  • Good understanding of trading platforms is must
  • Proven track record of delivery of large complex project is preferred
  • Proven track record of collaboration across multiple teams
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Relevant experience working in Agile delivery
