Purpose of the Role
The Pricing Manager develops and executes pricing strategies to drive Zembl’s growth and profitability. This role supports all customer segments, with a focus on commercial, industrial, and small to medium enterprises. Responsibilities include managing new business and renewal portfolios, optimising the portfolio mix, and ensuring diversification.
The Pricing Manager oversees energy retailer pricing in our CRM and Salesforce, provides ranking analysis, manages annual re-pricing events, and offers analytics and recommendations to optimise customer savings and commercial outcomes.
Collaborating closely with Sales and Operations, the Pricing Manager provides expertise on energy tariffs and billing, working with energy retailer pricing and channel teams to achieve optimal results. Reporting to the Head of Business Insights, Analytics, and Pricing, this role also supervises one pricing analyst.
About You
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a highly analytical and commercial role, preferably pricing-related in energy or telecom comparison or retail.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, analytical and data-driven thinking and a commercial mindset are key qualities.
- A commercially focused analytics manager who can influence and optimise energy retailer pricing.
- Proficiency with advanced analytics tools (Alteryx, SAS, RapidMiner, SQL, Python).
- Technical skills include advanced analytics tools, financial modelling, and exposure to CRM environments.
Areas of Responsibilities
- Maintaining multiple retailer products and pricing in Zembl's pricing engine and CRM.
- Overseeing routine updates for individual retailer pricing and at least biannual adjustments for energy market-wide price fluctuations.
- Providing pricing insights to retailers allowing them to improve their offers.
- Managing data sets that facilitate the price comparison process (tariff sheets, retailer availability, distribution regions).
- Managing pricing algorithms and the monthly ReZembl program to continuously optimise customer, commercial and retailer outcomes.
- Analysing monthly retailer pricing competitiveness and commissions; share of volume, energy load and commission revenue.
- Working with Zembl's CRM development team to optimise pricing calculator, bill scanning accuracy, telesales agent pricing experience and continuously optimising and automating processes and system routines.
- Synthesising external retailer and market insights when required.
