Part of the Family Doctor network of GP owned and operated medical practices, Red Hill Medical Centre is committed to providing high quality health care for our patients and offers a wide range of medical and allied services to the community.
The Opportunity
Our busy medical center is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Assistant PM or senior medical receptionist looking to take the next step.
The position is offered on a Permanent full time basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily operational management of the front desk which includes but is not limited to general reception and administrative services for the clinic including answering phones, making and managing patient appointments
- Maintaining a safe, healthy and professional working environment
- Ensure processes and systems are in accordance with the National Standards of Accreditation
- Welcome and assist patients with enquires and appointments
- Answer and respond to telephone enquiries in a courteous and professional manner
- Accurately process patient payments via direct bill, cash and TYRO
- Support the provision of accurate and timely financial and practice data
- Take responsibility for staff management and the efficient delivery of administrative and customer service aspects of the center
Requirements:
- Previous senior medical reception experience is essential
- Understanding of business operations in a healthcare practice
- Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve
- Ability to master new processes and IT
- Previous experience with Best Practice Software is an advantage
- Previous leadership or supervisory position in a medical practice is desirable
