About the role:
You will play a pivotal role working as a casual Registered or Enrolled nurse within the Surgical Centre. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive care during the critical pre-admission phase, ensuring patients are prepared for surgery, and offering essential support post-operation. The surgical centre fosters a nurturing environment with a dedicated educator, 2x orientation days, and a Team Mentor, all designed to facilitate a smooth transition into this vital position. This collaborative approach not only enhances patient care but also contributes to a supportive workplace culture.
There are multiple casual roles available within the Surgical Centre with the potential to move into a permanent role in the future for the right candidate. You will have your roster ahead of time plus the ability to pick up addition shifts to help cover sick leave, all while being supported with a healthy work life balance as no weekend, night or public holiday work is required.
What we are looking for:
- Current AHPRA registration as an RN or EN
- At least 1 year experience within a surgical setting
- Demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
- Exceptional communication skills (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professional communication with patients, their families and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work a range of 8-hour shifts Mon – Fri (preferred days are Wed – Fri)
- Full Australian working rights
