Carinya of Bicton is a leading residential aged care facility that aims to provide only the highest quality of services to those seeking quality care and homely comforts. Carinya of Bicton, a part of the St Jude's Health Care Group, has more than four decades of experience operating within residential aged care, and we have come to know exactly what amenities and services are most valued by our residents and their families. Carinya of Bicton is one of the most highly regarded aged care facilities South of the Perth river.
The Care Manager, in collaboration with the Facility Manager and the multidisciplinary team, provides clinical leadership and ensures the smooth operation of the facility. This role is dedicated to delivering resident-focused care services through comprehensive clinical assessments, optimising residents' lifestyles, and maximizing Commonwealth and State funding.
Responsibilities and DutiesPromote and demonstrate a resident-focused approach to care delivery, based on thorough clinical assessments that enhance residents' quality of life and optimise funding
Provide supervision and guidance to the care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care that aligns with current research and best practice standards
Exhibit positive role modelling and leadership in accordance with professional standards, fostering a culture of excellence within the team
Skills, Attributes and ExperienceMust be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Experience in aged care, preferably within residential and/or community settings
Proficiency in managing common medical conditions
Understanding and experience with aged care funding by State and Commonwealth
Knowledge of quality and risk management systems and Aged Care Quality Standards
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
Excellent organisational abilities to manage responsibilities and priorities effectively, and assist others in doing the same
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop staff, foster teamwork, and work effectively as a team member while providing leadership.
